Save Pinterest videos and images in original quality

Paste a pin link, pick a rendition, and download the file straight from Pinterest's CDN. Nothing is stored on this server.

Three steps, no install

  1. 1

    Copy the pin link

Open the pin on Pinterest and use Share → Copy link. Short pin.it links work too.

  2. 2

    Paste it above

We read the pin's public metadata and list every rendition Pinterest published for it.

  3. 3

    Download

Pick a quality. The file streams from Pinterest's CDN through this server with a clean filename.

Every published rendition

SD through 4K when Pinterest exposes it, plus HEVC copies labelled clearly.

Images, GIFs, idea pins

Original image resolution comes from the pin itself, not a thumbnail size.

Optional MP3

Audio extraction runs locally through ffmpeg when it is installed on the host.

Nothing kept

Results are cached in memory for five minutes. No database, no logs of your links.

Questions

Why do some pins only offer one quality?

Pinterest decides which renditions to publish per pin. A single 720p file means that is all the uploader's source produced.

What is the HEVC option?

HEVC (H.265) copies are usually smaller at the same resolution. Some browsers and editors cannot open them, so the H.264 file is the safer pick.

Are private pins supported?

No. Only public pins resolve, because the page metadata has to be readable without your Pinterest session.

Is this legal to run?

You are responsible for what you download. Use it for content you own or have permission to save, and respect Pinterest's terms and the creator's rights.
